Artificial Grass FAQs

Does Artificial Grass Require a Lot of Maintenance?

No, artificial grass requires very little maintenance. One of the most popular benefits for artificial grass is the lack of maintenance required once it’s laid. Keeping a well-kept natural lawn can prove to be a very time consuming and expensive process with frequent watering and mowing required. Artificial grass takes all of that stress away, maintaining it’s colour and length all year round. The only maintenance required for artificial grass is very occasionally cleaning the grass, which can be done by simply pouring over clean water and house hold washing up liquid or chlorine.

Is Artificial Grass Suitable for Pets?

Yes, our artificial grass is pet friendly. Our artificial lawn is designed to withstand the general wear-and-tear of owning a pet. Therefore, you can certainly allow your pet play on the surface.  Additionally, pet feces and urine on the surface of the grass can be easily cleaned off without discolouration or permanent smells.

How long does Artificial Grass last for?

The durability of artificial grass depends on the type of usage. For a typical garden, you can expect your artificial lawn to last up to 20 years or longer if maintained correctly – even if children and/or pets play on the surface regularly!

Does Artificial Grass Fade?

No, our artificial grass will maintain it’s colour all year round. Our Finch Deluxe and Finch 45 Grass comes with an 8 year UV Guarantee, but your grass should maintain it’s colour far beyond this.

Can You Hoover Artificial Grass?

Yes, you can use a hoover on our artificial grass and most other grasses. However, you shouldn’t hoover if your grass has any infill.

Does Artificial Grass Require Sand Infill?

No, our artificial grass does not require any infill. Some artificial grass requires infill to keep the blades upright and weigh down the lawn. Not only does infill need replacing, meaning more maintenance, but it also makes the grass less comfortable and harder to clean. Our grass is designed with a dense and curly yarn that falls in different directions, keeping your lawn looking authentic all year round.

Does chlorine damage artificial grass / can you have artificial grass next to a swimming pool?

Yes, our artificial grass is still suitable near swimming pools. Our grass is resistant to chlorine, so it will not be damaged by frequent contact. In fact, chlorine can actually be used to clean our grass when mixed with water, making it a perfect, low maintenance option for next to your swimming pool.
